Bert Carswell

Food safe Instructor

Bert graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.  After 11 years as a private practitioner he worked for the Canadain Food Inspection Agency for the next 17 years.  In 2003 Bert & his wife Pat retired to the Sunshine Coast.  In 2008, after attaining Food Safe Levels 1 & 2, he was certified as a Level 1 Instructor by Vancouver Coastal Health.  He has been teaching for us since that time.

Jim Rossi

WHMIS and O2 Instructor

A native of Southern California, Jim and his family have lived in Halfmoon Bay for the past seven years.  Jim has his BSc. in Biochemistry from Humboldt State University and MSc.in the Biochemistry of Marine Natural Products from Oregon State University. Jim has training in safe chemical storage, use and disposal and has worked with a variety of radioisotopes.In addition to teaching WorkSafe BC courses for Vital Training, Jim is on faculty at Capilano University where he teaches Scuba diving,Trades and Mountain Bike Programs.
