The course provides information about many hazardous materials (controlled products) used in the workplace. Students will learn how to identity controlled products, their hazards and safety precautions. This course is required by any worker who deals with hazardous materials in the workplace and meets the requirements set out by Work Safe B.C.

In BC, operators of a food service establishment are legally required to hold a FOOD SAFE certificate or equivalent food safety documentation. When the operator is not present, at least one employee must be FOOD SAFE certified.
Certification: A Ministry of Health FOOD SAFE certificate will be issued on successful completion of exam, valid for 5 years
Max class size: 18
